Waiting for Dylan and Gabrielle, watching the lake Como minutes before their proposal at Villa Balbianello starts...

I have told about it so many times and I don't like to repeat it, but one of the gifts of this job is meeting friendly people with stories from every corner of the world, and I can definitely underline this with Gabrielle (beautiful name haha) and Dylan..
D. decided that his proposal would happen at Villa Balbianello on lake Como and I can't be more happy about this choice, together with Villa Monastero and engagement sessions in Varenna streets is one of my most loved spots.

No one can ignore the charme and magic with all the photography chances it offers with the right light and timing.

Of course I was in 007 mode, I walked up fast from the pedestrian access so we could meet in the exact place in the right moment, we were totally in sync so the funny part could finally begin. Let's admit the first shots are always the one you absolutely can't miss and even the most emotional one cause it's where the magic happens.

On any engagement and especially proposal photography service the tension is always on the same thing: to miss the magic moment, to be in the wrong angle or perspective but even this time we managed everything perfectly and I framed what I expected to get: a good and clean memory that could really add something special to the life of people following a personal desire...

It's even after that that I can finally introduce myself with her and let the first moments embarrassment just go away with a few words, it's usually so easy and natural.

We were totally lucky: the mix of just chatting about many things, the light, the timing with few people around, how natural they felt...all mixed perfectly and we made several tours just following the light that was changing fast, sometime fading, then back strong suddenly...all opportunities I love to play with.

We had fun, really...and decided to go back together by the Taxi boat so I took the chance snap a few pictures again until they got surprised before disappearing on the road to something else.

I am still in touch with them and I really hope I will have the chance of meeting them again.

As I stood on the terrace of Villa Balbianello overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake Como, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. It was a beautiful day for a wedding, and I was thrilled to be the photographer capturing the memories of this special occasion.

As a wedding photographer, I've had the opportunity to work in many stunning locations, but there's something truly magical about Lake Como. The combination of the crystal-clear waters, the lush greenery, and the historic architecture make it one of the most picturesque destinations in the world.

The couple I was photographing had chosen Villa Balbianello as their wedding venue, and it was easy to see why. The villa, which dates back to the 18th century, is situated on a promontory overlooking the lake and surrounded by magnificent gardens. It's no wonder that it has been the setting for numerous films, including the James Bond movie "Casino Royale."

As the wedding ceremony began, I discreetly moved around the perimeter, capturing candid shots of the bride and groom, as well as the guests who had traveled from around the world to be there. I made sure to capture every detail, from the bride's intricate lace dress to the stunning floral arrangements.

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the beautiful scenery to take some portraits of the newlyweds. We walked through the gardens, pausing to take photos against the backdrop of the lake and the mountains. The couple was beaming with happiness, and it was a joy to capture their love and excitement on camera.

As the evening wore on, the party moved inside the villa, where guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner and danced the night away. I continued to snap photos of the festivities, capturing the joy and exuberance of the guests.

As I packed up my gear at the end of the night, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a special occasion. Lake Como had once again proved to be the perfect backdrop for a romantic and unforgettable wedding, and I was honored to have been there to document it all.
